What is a Public Service Announcement? A Public Service Announcement is an announcement made by a particular Service Agency (i.e. TV Station, Radio Station) for a group / organization. Any event that is ongoing and a regular part of the organization’s activities is not considered an appropriate Public Service Announcement (i.e. Regular church services). In 1977 founder Bob D’Andrea began his vision for Christian Television Network. On October 24th, 1979 CTN signed on in the Florida area. He launched that station and every station since with the following sign on: “Jesus Christ the Son of the living God, is the one to whom this television station is dedicated.” Since then CTN has produced more than 30,000 Christian programs.
